La Mamounia

A historic palace known for its gardens, with different ways to host a celebration. Check private-use conditions and how guest accommodation can be arranged.

The atmosphere

La Mamounia is a historic Marrakech palace, known for its gardens and refined hospitality. Its private riads provide intimate accommodation, while the hotel's event spaces give celebrations a different scale.

Accommodation and event spaces

  • La Mamounia lists 209 accommodation units: 135 rooms, 71 suites and three private riads.
  • Its three riads each measure 700 m² and have private entrances, pools and terraces; the hotel lists up to six guests per riad.
  • The event page describes indoor and outdoor receptions with catering, music, lighting and décor. The separate 300-person Grand Salon figure relates to a seminar layout and is not a wedding-dinner guarantee.
AreaOfficially published information
Jardins / tente du restaurant Le MarocainEvent meals and cocktails described; no event count published
Grand SalonUp to 300 in the seminars section; not automatically a wedding figure
3 riads privésUp to six overnight guests per riad; not an event capacity

One thing to know

Booking a private riad does not mean booking the palace gardens or event salons exclusively. Each wedding space needs its own arrangements, including guest and supplier access.

Three useful questions

  1. Is the full palace bought out, or only a defined venue area?
  2. Which gardens and salons are actually reserved for drinks and dinner?
  3. What capacities are confirmed specifically for a wedding, not a seminar?
